Trying to "revive" this, if there is room for discussion in any of the upcoming validation Subcommittee calls.

The thread captured some ideas for improving the language and making it a little clearer in respect to the use of the term "meta tag".

Thanks,
Dimitris.

My team was going over the first paragraph of 3.2.2.4.6 that says:

"Confirming the Applicant's control over the requested FQDN by confirming the presence of a Request Token or Random Value contained in the content of a file or on a web page in the form of a meta tag one of the following under the "/.well‐known/pki‐validation" directory, or another path registered with IANA for the purpose of Domain Validation, on the Authorization Domain Name that is accessible by HARICA via HTTP/HTTPS over an Authorized Port."

and had a very hard reading and understanding the requirement. This 6-liner sentence is very hard to read, especially for a non-native English speaker and probably needs some language improvement. Could the working group please spend some time and try to make it a little more simple?

Thank you,

Dimitris.
